Our kantha quilts are crafted with care, hand-stitched from recycled sari cloth sourced from India and later dyed with Indigo colors. The term ‘kantha’ refers to the type of stitch used in the embroidery, which gives the sari quilts a unique wavy, textured quality. In rural India, kantha blankets are offered to guests in homes as a seat, a place to rest their tea, or simply as an expression of welcome into the home. We offer our kantha quilts to you in the hope that you will feel connected to a deep-rooted history of a rich human culture. We also hope that you will share this culture with your house guests by offering them a kantha quilt as well, as a means of fostering human connections and shared experiences.
Our kantha quilts are made from 100% cotton and come in a beautiful Indigo color. The size of the quilt is 55X85 inches (140X216 CM). To ensure the longevity of the quilt, we recommend machine washing it on a delicate cycle. However, please be aware that there could be some color bleed. Finally, buyers are responsible for any custom duty charges imposed by their country.
All our kantha quilts are handcrafted with love in India. Thank you for supporting our artisans and their craft.
